 Wabash Duraplate Dry Vans
The dry vans with the lowest level of maintenance in the market.

Over many years of work, our customers have insisted on how important it is to keep their vans dry on the road and not in the shop.

Now with Wabash Duraplate dry vans, we can provide our customers a dry van with high-strength, durability and very low maintenance levels.

Wabash Duraplate Dry Vans are manufactured with a new and unique material consisting of a core of polyethylene plastic between two sheets of highly resistant galvanized steel.

The composition of the material resists without problems, up to 30,000 tons of pressure without fracturing a wall.

A unique feature of Duraplate dry vans is that when a load or a crane impacts one of the walls, it does not deform as aluminum dry vans do, it flexes and then returns to its original shape without showing any damage.

An added value that appeals to our customers is that the appearance of Duraplate dry vans is kept in excellent conditions throughout the years, the example below shows a traditional aluminum dry van (under repair) vs. a Duraplate dry van.

This, besides generating a quality image for our client, also allows the equipment to maintain a good level of resale.

Need more advantages over aluminum dry vans? Here they are:

Wabash Duraplate Dry Vans, have a front height of 111 inches and 110 in the rear, allowing water to flow properly preventing it from holding back and freeze on the roof of the dry van, avoiding it from falling down and generating problems, risks or waste when unloading the merchandise.

The dry vans have a bumper, designed to prevent a roll over in case a car engages to it.

Another advantage over the competition is that Wabash uses torx type screws instead of rivets, thus avoiding having to change the rivets whenever they move.

The external and internal appearance of Wabash Duraplate dry vans is exceptional, while the traditional vans look dirty and worn, Duraplate looks clean, with first class wood floors.

The dry van doors are also Duraplate, so they do not rot like the competition's wooden doors.

High strength. The Duraplate dry vans have posts every 12 inches, which resist 80.000 lbs.

Due to the fact that DuraPlate material is more rigid than aluminum, the DuraPlate trailer does not require external studs used in panel trailers. The result: a smooth, "clean" sidewall perfect for our customers’ graphics. The DuraPlate van already has smoother and cleaner inner walls than today's panel trailers. Without the interior wood lining, the damage to the load is removed, resulting in a greater satisfaction to customers.

The Standard DuraPlate thin wall van weight is compatible with the aluminum trailers' weight with a tare of 14,000 lbs (6.350kg) for a 53 feet (16.15 m) van, and offering the traditional advantages of a panel wall design, maximum cubic capacity, maximum internal width, minimum cargo damage, a flexible but hard wall for low maintenance, long life and lower cyclic living expenses.

Due to the fact that an aluminum panel trailer has high aluminum content, its cost may be affected by the volatile changes of the cost of raw aluminum. In comparison, the plastic resin and high strength steel used in the DuraPlate trailer are relatively stable in cost, ensuring that the fleets of the DuraPlate Vans will maintain its cost over time.
